The City of Canyon Lake and CR&R partnered to host a community-wide clean-up for Canyon Lake residents on April 10 in the Canyon Lake Community Church parking lot.
A total of 68.36 tons of junk, ranging from large appliances to yard trash, was collected this year.
According to CR&R, 32.52 tons of trash, 32.05 tons of metal, 3.79 tons of e-waste, 30 gallons of antifreeze, 19 batteries, and 12 gallons of oil were collected during the six-hour event.
Due to the pandemic, this event was canceled last year. In 2019, 71.44 tons of trash was collected.
