The Canyon Lake Yacht Club invites the community to participate in its Annual Lake Clean-Up on Saturday, May 8, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Boats will depart from the Diamond Point Park dock at 10 a.m. and navigate the lake, picking up shoreline debris that can be reached from the boat. Trash bags and nets will be provided.
Non-boat owners are welcome to participate aboard one of the Yacht Club boats. Students who need community service hours are invited to participate with their parents.
Later that day, at 5:45 p.m., volunteers will gather in boats at the lodge dock and embark on a short cruise around the lake and then tie up in Catfish Cove for a party.
