Three arrests were made during a DUI Checkpoint on Friday in the City of Perris. The checkpoint was conducted from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Perris Boulevard and Business Park Drive.
During the operation, deputies screened 413 vehicles, conducted three field sobriety tests, and cited 19 people for driving unlicensed. Two people were arrested for driving under the influence, and one person was arrested for driving with a suspended/revoked license. Two vehicles were towed.
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints is to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
