Canyon Lake’s highly anticipated hometown Fiesta Day parade will take place on Saturday, May 23, kicking off a day of activities and entertainment.
The parade will start at 9 a.m. at the intersection of Canyon Lake Drive North and Mayflower Drive. From there, the procession will travel along Canyon Lake Drive North before turning right onto Vacation Drive and ending at Lighthouse Drive.
Parade participants can exit the parade by taking Lighthouse Drive to Canyon Club Drive and onto Canyon Lake Drive North, or continue to the lodge, one of two locations where activities will be held after the parade.
There will be no parking from 6 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Canyon Lake Drive North, from Steelhead Drive to Vacation Drive, and from Vacation Drive to Lighthouse Drive.
The parade staging streets are Spray Drive, Smugglers Point Drive, Sloop Drive, and Clearwater Drive. Line-up begins at 7 a.m. The staging streets will re-open after the parade ends at approximately 10 a.m.
The following streets will close at 8:30 a.m. and remain closed until after the parade ends:
- Canyon Club Drive and Lighthouse Drive will be the exit route for the parade participants to head toward the locations where festivities are planned
- Canyon Lake Drive North, west of Steel Head Drive to the Vacation Drive stop sign
- Vacation Drive, from the stop sign to Lighthouse Drive
- Blue Teal Drive
- Village Way at Main Causeway
After the parade, free activities and entertainment will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the lodge, the pool, and Holiday Harbor Park. For more information about these activities, click here.
To facilitate easy transportation between event sites, free golf cart and boat shuttle services will be available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The boat shuttle, courtesy of the Yacht Club, will transport attendees to and from the lodge and Holiday Harbor Park. Golf cart shuttles will stop at the lodge and Holiday Harbor Park. Pickup and drop-off will be available approximately every 30 minutes at the intersection of Canyon Lake Drive and Vacation Drive, the Community Patrol Office On Canyon Lake Drive South and Blue Bird Drive, Gault Field on Longhorn Drive, the Senior Center near the main gate, and Sierra Park on Vacation Drive.
