A new Stater Bros. Markets is coming to Menifee, with construction set to begin later this summer. Completion is expected in the summer of 2027. The market will be Stater Bros.’s fourth store in Menifee.
On Thursday, July 9, Stater Bros. Markets held a groundbreaking ceremony for its future supermarket at the northwest corner of McCall Boulevard and Menifee Road. Stater Bros. leadership and city officials gathered for the ceremony, celebrating the start of the long-awaited project.
The new development, called McCall Square, will be home to the future Stater Bros. supermarket, a new McDonald’s, and more than 9,300 square feet of additional retail space, creating opportunities.
During remarks at the groundbreaking, Stater Bros. Markets Executive Chairman Pete Van Helden highlighted the company’s longstanding relationship with Menifee and its confidence in the city’s’ future. “Today is particularly meaningful because it marks another milestone in our long history with this community and in our confidence in its future,” Van Helden said. “Now, I know many people in this community have been waiting a long time for a grocery store at this location. I am happy to report that ‘coming soon’ has finally arrived.”
As part of its mission to uplift Southern California communities through fundraising and investing in local nonprofits that provide hands-on support, Stater Bros. Charities, the nonprofit arm of Stater Bros. Markets, donated $2,500 each to five organizations: Menifee Valley Community Cupboard, Menifee Santa’s Workshop, Sandals Church Menifee, MILVet, and the Menifee Police Foundation.
