On May 10, Lieutenant Will Edwards of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department provided the Canyon Lake City Council with a public safety update for the month of April.
In April, deputies responded to 337 calls for service. Seven Part One crimes were reported: three assaults, two burglaries, and two larcenies.
Deputies issued two traffic citations and investigated 13 traffic collisions.
Two arrests were made for domestic violence and two arrests were made for warrants.
Police services are provided by the City of Canyon Lake through a contract with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. Residents are reminded to contact the police department, not Canyon Lake Community Patrol, for incidents pertaining to the law. For emergencies, call 911.
