Woman’s Club wraps up season, installs new officers

The Canyon Lake Woman’s Club gathered on June 17 at Holiday Harbor Park for its final 2019/2020 season meeting and to install its 2020/2021 officers.

The women honored the club’s past presidents and presented outgoing president, Bonnie Wade, with appreciation gifts. Incoming president, Alexis Prince, was presented with a pin and gavel.

The Woman’s Club will kick off its 48th season with a meeting in September. The new officers are Alexis Prince, president; Joanne Flewelling and Cheryl Paul, programs; Bonnie Dubbs, membership; Debbie Gonzalez and Suzi Delia, ways and means; DJ Potter and Cheri Stetson, philanthropy; Lisa Monson, treasurer; Samantha Gorrell, secretary; Valerie Reeves, newsletter; Shawna Bowen, publicity; and Bonnie Wade, parliamentarian.

The Woman’s Club is a non-profit, non-partisan, philanthropic service organization dedicated to the enrichment of Canyon Lake and helping others less fortunate. Its mission is to provide a safe gathering place for the women of Canyon Lake to raise funds to help those in need, both individuals and charities, and to provide scholarships to local students for the continuation of their education after high school. The club awards approximately $25,000 to $40,000 to local charities and students each year.

Annual club membership is $20. Monthly meetings are held on the third Wednesday at 10 a.m. For additional information, visit www.canyonlakewomansclub.com.
