The world lost an amazing soul on August 21, 2021. Paul Leone was born on June 8, 1952, in Torrance, California. He was bigger than life and made friends where ever he went. He loved cars and could fix anything. He took a piece of rusty metal and turned it into the car pictured. He was always in the garage working on many types of projects.
Paul graduated from Dominguez High School in 1970. He was then drafted into the Army in 1972 where he served two years in Germany in the First Infantry Division as a tank commander. He has told many stories about his unit and friends, including making his tank so “bitchin’” that it was like the Ritz Carlton.
Paul worked for Sunset Ford in Garden Grove for 32 years. He was the “go-to” guy whenever anyone had questions or problems. At work, he was truly in his element and shined. He had an amazing mechanical mind. The whole dealership were his friends.
Paul was married for 42 years and was a best friend and soulmate. He leaves behind wife Terry, daughter Danielle, son Nick, daughter-in-law Ashley, son-in-law Nick, and grandson Grayson Paul.
There is an empty void without him. He fought esophageal cancer like hell for 18 months. He had chemo, brain radiation, and immunotherapy, and did not complain once about the multiple appointments, exhaustion, or pain.
Please give your loved ones a big hug today while they are still with you. We love you buddy, dad, and
grandpa. You will always be our invincible hero.
