A man who apparently drowned in Lake Elsinore on August 1 has been identified as 42-year-old Joseph Ledzema of Lakewood. Ledzema was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
Lake Elsinore deputies were called to the lake area behind the 1400 block of Lake Shore Drive at 4:06 p.m. where they located two stalled watercraft about 40 yards from the beach. Deputies utilize civilian-owned watercraft to approach the riders where they found Ledzema unconscious in the water, the sheriff’s department reported.
Cal Fire personnel performed life-saving measures; however, the victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
