Murrieta Fire & Rescue has launched a Water Watcher Program to help keep kids safe in the pool this summer.
A Water Watcher is a designated adult who promises to give their full attention to supervising children in the pool, ensuring they are safe and protected from potential dangers.
To effectively supervise, Water Watchers must put away cell phones and any other distractions. This focused attention is crucial for preventing accidents and ensuring a safe swimming environment.
As part of this initiative, Murrieta Fire & Rescue is offering free Water Watcher lanyards. These lanyards clearly identify the adult responsible for watching the children, making it easy for others to recognize the designated supervisor.
By participating in the Water Watcher Program, adults can contribute to a safer summer for children in pools.
