The Canyon Lake Firefighters Association has once again demonstrated its commitment to the Canyon Lake community with a series of generous donations.
On Friday, the Firefighters Association donated $250 to the Canyon Lake Community Theatre group, showing its support for the arts in the community.
The donation follows a $90 sponsorship to the Mermaids of Canyon Lake Club, which will benefit the club’s 2025 community calendar that it distributes to residents at no cost.
Earlier this year, the Firefights Association donated $350 to the Canyon Lake Little League, helping to ensure that young athletes in the community have the resources they need to thrive.

“The Canyon Lake Firefighters Association is thrilled to be able to support the community,” Treasurer Chico Sanchez said. “Canyon Lake is our home and we are happy to be a part of it. We will continue to support the residents, businesses, and clubs through our participation and sponsorship.”
Looking ahead, the Firefighters Association is gearing up to participate in the upcoming Canyon Lake Car Show, where they will be selling T-shirts. The funds raised through T-shirt sales enable the Firefighters Association to give back to the community through donations and sponsorships. Additionally, this event will serve as an opportunity for the firefighters to engage and strengthen their connection with the community they serve.
Made up of nine full-time firefighters, the Canyon Lake Firefighters Association was established in July 2022 and recognized by the State of California in August 2022. Its goal is to ensure the protection of its members, while simultaneously providing support and fellowship to various charities, nonprofit groups, and other vested agencies within the City of Canyon Lake. Its vision is to work closely within the community to ensure the continued support and endearment of the citizens and visitors while prioritizing its members’ health and protection through competitive wages, benefits, and working conditions.
