A suspected impaired driver was arrested after crashing into parked vehicles while allegedly inhaling nitrous oxide from balloons, according to authorities.
Deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station responded to reports of a reckless driver who had collided with multiple parked vehicles. When they arrived, they located the vehicle with major damage, including missing front tires.
During the investigation, deputies discovered a nitrous oxide tank inside the vehicle along with several balloons commonly used to inhale the gas. Nitrous oxide, sometimes referred to as laughing gas, can impair judgment, coordination, and reaction time when misused.
