The application period for the vacant Canyon Lake Property Owners Association (CLPOA) Board of Directors seat closed on June 19, with eight community members submitting letters of interest and applications for consideration.
The applicants are Claude Beauchamp, Brett Charest, Brad Cunningham, Harold Larson, Alexander Nettles, Eddie Reyes, Steven Roseman, and Joseph Sabolick.
According to the CLPOA, the board of directors is currently reviewing each candidate’s qualifications, experience, and background. Over the next two weeks, board members are expected to conduct interviews with the applicants as part of the selection process.
The appointment will fill the position vacated by Bill Medved, who resigned earlier this month to relocate to Orange County.
The board has indicated that it is seeking the candidate best prepared to contribute positively to the organization and represent the interests of the community.
The strong response to the vacancy reflects a continued interest among residents in serving their community and participating in the leadership of the CLPOA.
The board is expected to complete the interview process and announce its selection at its regularly scheduled open board meeting on July 7. The selected candidate will fill the remainder of Medved’s term, which runs through 2028.
The Canyon Lake POA has a five-member Board of Directors, who are collectively responsible for the management and operation of the Canyon Lake POA’s business affairs. Board members serve as volunteers and are not compensated for their service.
