With school bells set to ring once again and children preparing to head back to the classroom, the Canyon Lake Jr. Women’s Club is making sure local students are equipped and ready for a successful start to the new academic year.
Demonstrating its commitment to the community, the club has stepped up with a backpack giveaway on Saturday, August 1, and Monday, August 3. More than 200 backpacks with school supplies will be distributed to kids in kindergarten through high school.
Backpacks can be picked up at Pepe’s Mexican Restaurant, located at 31780 Railroad Canyon Road, on Saturday, August 1, between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. and Monday, August 3, between 6 and 8 p.m.
Children must attend, as each child will have the opportunity to pick out the backpack of their choice.
