Menifee Police Department Investigators arrested two fugitives from Indiana after using the department’s Flock Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) camera system to locate their vehicle in the City of Menifee.
On August 12, Menifee Police Department Investigators learned of two individuals wanted on active, extraditable warrants issued by the State of Indiana. The warrants were for 75-year-old Linda Swift and 55-year-old Thomas Baker, who were wanted on charges related to narcotics possession and sales.
Utilizing available investigative resources and technology, including the department’s Flock Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) camera system, investigators were able to locate the subjects’ vehicle in the City of Menifee. Investigators coordinated with members of the Special Enforcement Team, who subsequently contacted Swift and Baker.
Both Swift and Baker were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Cois M. Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta, where they will remain in custody pending extradition to authorities from the State of Indiana.
