For the second consecutive year, KK Beecher won the Canyon Lake Women’s Golf Club Championship Tournament. Her name will be added to the club’s perpetual trophy.
The win earned Beecher a coveted invitation to the PGA’s 2022 National Club Championship, a one-of-a-kind event that brings together amateur club champions from golf courses coast to coast.
Three strokes behind Beecher were Gerry Meeks and Mary Burns, who tied for second place in the A Flight. Lorrie Applegate took first place in the B Flight. Ura Furry came in first place in the C Fight and Linda Johnson came in first place in the D Flight. The winners were determined by the best gross score in each flight.
The Championship Tournament was held on March 8, 10, and 15. A luncheon and an awards presentation followed play.
The club’s next tournament will be the two-day Senior Tournament on April 12 and 19.
